Vince McMahon Reportedly Faces New Financial Demands Over Sexual Assault Allegations

Earlier this year, the wrestling world was rocked by the announcement that Vince McMahon was under an official WWE investigation over allegations of inappropriate relationships with various women. McMahon was accused of using company funds to pay the women for their silence, spending millions of dollars in the process. McMahon officially retired from WWE in July, but things are not done yet. After walking out on WWE in May, Banks has still yet to return and as of last week, was reportedly “done” with the company. Instead she will be heading to New Japan Pro Wrestling beginning in January, and now we know some more interesting details about the entire situation. The show has had all kinds of moments throughout its history, some of which have been more memorable than others. There have also been several stories that start up and are then dropped, which seems to have been the case again this week. The referee was bumped during the match though, meaning Lashley was unable to pin a downed Rollins. Following the match, Adam Pearce fired Lashley to end the show. Pearce has since posted a video to Twitter, saying that Lashley is not fired but there will be repercussions for his actions. The two will meet later this week to see how they can work together. NXT Date: December 13, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T We’re done with Deadline and that means it is time to start the rather long road to Vengeance Day in February. Deadline saw the crowning of new Tag Team Champions and a pair of new #1 contenders. That should give us some places to go for the next few weeks and we should be in for some fun, though maybe not so soon after Deadline. Let’s get to it. We open with a long recap of Deadline. And there it goes! Titles are some of the most important things in a wrestling promotion as holding a championship makes it clear that a wrestler is one of the biggest stars in a company. Over the weekend, Roxanne Perez won the NXT Iron Woman Challenge at Deadline to become the new #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Title. The biggest of them all has been Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE. For the first time in nearly forty years, a new regime is in charge of WWE and that is leading to even more changes. Bobby Lashley Fired On Raw This Week

Pick up your last check. In the closing moments of Raw this week, WWE official Adam Pearce got into a confrontation with Bobby Lashley following his main event match with Seth Rollins. The All Mighty was about to win the match and an opportunity at the United States Championship against Austin Theory when the referee was knocked out of the ring and twisted his ankle. This slight distraction allowed Rollins to recover and hit Lashley with a Pedigree out of a spear. Rollins would then make the cover to become the no. 1 contender for the championship. Following the match, Lashley would snap and take out his aggression on two referees. William Regal Returning to WWE as Top Level Executive

Moving up in the world. As previously reported, William Regal is returning to WWE after his contract expires with AEW this month. However, it seems he will be returning to a different role than before. According to a report from PWInsider, Regal will have a Vice President position in the company when he returns, but it is not yet known what his official title/role will be. He will return to the company beginning in January 2023. Regal was written off of AEW television a couple of weeks ago when MJF knocked him out with the same brass knuckles that Regal gave him to win the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.
